East Bay Clean Energy Economy: 2002-2012

This is the first web-based map to illustrate the growth of the clean-energy or "green" economy in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area in California. It uses data created by the private consulting firm Collaborative Economics to compare which cities experienced changes in employment and firm growth between 2002 and 2012, based on an aggregated count by zip code.

The data was used in my 2014 master's thesis and published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Department of Urban Studies and Planning. Further analysis of the data and how the green economy affected the cities can be found in my report.
